4, Woodgate Telephone 01509 264008 Opening Times: 12-11 Mon-Thu; 12-Midnight Fri,Sat; 12-10:30 Sun Previously known as the Pack Horse, bought by Blue Monkey in 2012, the pub received a top to-bottom renovation, uncovering lots of interesting original features. New stable bar at the back, reflecting the pub’s past life as a coaching inn. Eight cask ales are always available. Choice of four real ciders sometimes including a perry, as well as Belgian bottled beers. Bar snacks include interesting range of pork pies. CAMRA branch Most Improved Pub 2012, Pub of the Year 2013, and now our Pub of the Year for 2019. The award was presented to Manager Jed on Tuesday 26th February 2019 by Pubs Officer Phil. |

A constantly changing range of up to seven guest beers always includes a mild. Real cider, perry, a wide range of continental bottled and draught beers and a good choice of malt whiskies and country wines are also available. Upstairs is the Hop Loft function room and first floor outside terrace. |

County Pub of the Year 2019 - Manor House, Quorn
Manor HouseWoodhouse Road Tel: 01509 413416 Midday - 11:00pm Mon-Fri Regular Beers Changing beers Built in 1899 by the Great Central Railway, the Manor House was designed to serve passengers arriving at Quorn and Woodhouse Station, which it still does today - the preserved steam- and diesel-hauled trains pass by 150 yards from the door. The building was refurbished in 2005 and now has an open-plan bar and award-winning restaurant with a separate function/meeting room available to hire. A free house, two guest beers are available during the week and three at weekends. The award was presented to managers Craig Simms and Matt Flinders after a branch meeting held at the pub on Tuesday 27th August 2019. |

Sorrel Fox75 Leicester Road Tel: 0116 230 3777 5:00pm - 10:00pm Tue-Thu Regular Beers Changing beers A double fronted former pet shop on the main street of this large village that opened in late 2018. At present, several small drinking areas. Imported Austrian lager as well as some gins and rums. Close to bus stop with buses to Leicester and Loughborough. The award was presented by Phil Hamson to Nick Parker (2nd left) and his team on 29th October 2019 at the branch meeting. |

Pub of the Month (Town Pub) October 2019 - Black Swan, Shepshed
Black Swan21 Loughborough Road Tel: 01509 506222 5:00pm - Midnight Mon Regular Beers Multi-roomed pub situated in a prominent position close to the town centre, offering two guest beers alongside the regulars. The main room has two drinking areas, both with comfortable seating. An extremely good range of single malt whiskies. A further small room can be used by families, and is available for hire for functions. Wednesday is quiz night. Local events including the ukulele orchestra and Shepshed Dynamo football ground is nearby. |
