Draught Bass Situated off the A50 and close to the M1, Hemington is easy to miss. The village dates back to Norman times. The pub is a 17th Century building, thought to have originally been a weaver's cottage. It has been a pub since the 19th Century and retains lots of original features such as old timbers, open fires and beamed ceiling, which provide a convenient place to hang the collection of blow lamps and beer mugs. There is a separate restaurant that is also available for functions and meetings. Gravity cider is available. Meals are served 12-2 and evenings Monday -Saturday. No food Sundays. |

Traditional 17th century coaching inn, formally called The Nags Head. It has been under the present ownership since 1990. The split level bar has stone floors, bench seating and low ceilings. There is a separate small dining area with polished wood floor which leads off another room used for either eating or drinking. Good quality, interesting food is cooked to order and the menu changes every two weeks with monthly themed nights. Outside there is a secluded riverside garden with moorings available locally. Weston’s bottled cider available.

Formally known as The Three Crowns, this genuine free house is conveniently situated on a direct route from the railway station to the town centre. The five guest beers are from microbreweries, often from the east or north-east midlands area, but usually beers not commonly seen in pubs in the Loughborough area.
The pub has a single room split into two distinct drinking areas, one having a pool table. The lounge area can be partitioned off for private functions. Outside there is a
secluded walled garden with children’s play equipment and a pet’s corner. Cobs available all day. Draught cider or perry available Loughborough and North Leicestershire Pub of the Year 2004.

This canal side pub was built in the late 18th century at the same time as the Loughborough Canal. There is a bar, darts room and quiet lounge. Outside there is a patio which houses an aviary. The house beer is brewed specially for the pub by the local Wicked Hathern Brewery. Care should be taken if driving to the pub along the tow path. |
