Pub Awards

The branch makes up to four awards each year. Most branches have award schemes for their local pubs and these vary throughout the country. The format we chose was to award certificates under four different criteria.

  • In the Spring we choose the Most Improved Pub of the year, or Best Food Pub of the Year or any other criterion.
  • In the Summer we pick a Country Pub / Summer Pub of the year or Greatest Contribution to Real Ale.
  • In the Autumn we choose either a Cider Pub or a Micropub of the year.
  • In the Winter we choose the Pub of the year for the following year. This pub is then put forward as a candidate for the regional Pub of the Year.
