Pubs remain closed as Leicestershire enters Tier 3

Category: General

From Thursday 3rd December, Leicestershire enters Tier 3, which means all our Pubs are ordered to remain closed.

This is a disaster for pubs in our branch area, and it is difficult to understand what the reasons are for the Government to do this.

The government is basing its decisions regarding the Hospitality sector on the evidence published on their website:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/transmission-risk-in-the-hospitality-sector/transmission-risk-in-the-hospitality-sector

If you read this supposed evidence, you will see that it is all outdated and refers to times prior to pubs modifying their business to meet Coronavirus requirements.

Hopefully, on Tuesday 1st December, MPs will realise this gross error being made by the government and will vote against the bill.
